Polyethylene Pipe’s Maximum Pressure by Temperature

The Application of Medium Pressure to Polyethylene Pipes.
The interpretation examples of ‘Technical Standards for Gas Work Products’ were revised as of March 31, 2003.
Based on this, the applicable pressure for polyethylene materials conforming to JIS (JIS K6774 Polyethylene Pipes for Gas, JIS K6775-1 to 3 Polyethylene Pipe Fittings for Gas) has been expanded to less than 0.3MPa (Medium Pressure B).
When applying polyethylene pipes to Medium Pressure B, please refer to the ‘Main and Branch Pipe Guidelines, Supply Pipe & Internal Pipe Guidelines (Medium Pressure Polyethylene Pipe Supplementary Edition)’ issued by the Japan Gas Association.

Service Tee ( Same Diameter Branch)
(unit:mm)

(General Special Notes on Service Tees)
A slight gap is provided between the hole saw and the screw part of the service tee body to reduce the drilling torque. Due to this, bypass gas might be emitted from this gap after drilling and before removing the tapping tool and closing the service tee cap. Please be cautious during installation. For equal diameter branches of 50, 75, and 100, please use the clamps indicated below.
To apply to same branch 50, 75, and 100, use the following clamp.
Saddle Clamp 50:
ED-50 (Matsuzaka Manufacturing)
313221 (REX INDUSTRIES )
Saddle Clamp 75:
ED-75 (Matsuzaka Manufacturing)
313222 (REX INDUSTRIES )
Saddle Clamp 100:
ED-100 (Matsuzaka Manufacturing)

※ The valve is equipped with a stopper for its open/close position. In case of mishandling (excessive force when operating the valve), the structure is designed to break the stopper to prevent damage to the valve body. To prevent mishandling, always use the dedicated valve opener rod when operating. (Even if the stopper breaks, it will not affect the opening/closing operation or the fluid shearing performance.)
